ACNUR & PNUD

When I entered college, one of my major ambitions was to work at the UN. One of the reasons was directly tied to my deep interest in migration and refugee issues. On the other hand, there was also the interest and curiosity behind the importance of the Organization in global issues.

The first of these experiences, in 2018, was at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), where I volunteered in the Communications area, producing texts and interviews, translating (English-Spanish-Portuguese) articles, creating content and monitoring social media, doing journalistic coverage, and producing videos and photos.

In 2019, I had my first paid internship at the UN, at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). For a year, in the Public Information area, I produced texts and interviews, did translations (English-Spanish-Portuguese) press releases, created content for Twitter, and did journalistic coverage, including video and photo production.

Among the many roles, companies, and organizations I've been through, the UN was one of the experiences that marked my career the most. Despite the internships that happened years ago, I would like to highlight my time at both agencies simply because I learned so much about the world, other realities, and myself while performing my duties.
